2. What are the requirements to grow CDC Abound or CDC Imagine?
There are a few requirements that you must follow when growing CDC Imagine and/or CDC Abound, including:
- Signing a Clearfield Commitment with a Viterra retail location on an annual basis, for both certified and farm-saved seed
- Having the harvested seed confirm tested* before reseeding to ensure the Clearfield trait remains
- Using a registered BASF herbicide on the crop
*The Clearfield-CONFIRM® test is a herbicide tolerance test to ensure that Clearfield wheat seed meets the required tolerance to Clearfield wheat herbicides. This test is mandatory for growers who want to grow CDC Imagine and CDC Abound Clearfield wheat from saved seed. Growers can submit seed samples to their Viterra retail for testing. The cost of the Clearfield-CONFIRM test for wheat is reimbursed by BASF after a purchase of ALTITUDE FX or ADRENALIN SC has been made.
