Clearfield Canola:
2010 Commitment
The
Clearfield® Commitment is the cornerstone of our dedication to sound stewardship.
It serves as an annual license for the use of
Clearfield technology. This helps BASF protect the integrity of the
Clearfield Production System so that it will be available for growers to use for years to come.
The agreement ensures your growers'
Clearfield seed will uniformly and fully express its herbicide tolerance and desired agronomic traits.
By signing the agreement, you also become eligible for the
Clearfield Advantage™, a number of benefits available exclusively to
Clearfield growers. And, together with GrowForward™ Rewards, you'll be able to maximize your eligible rebate.
Key terms of agreement
The grower agrees to:
- Use Clearfield certified canola seed for planting a single commercial crop
- Pay a Commitment Fee of $30 per 22.7 or 25 kg bag and/or $600 per 454 or 500 kg bag
- Not supply Clearfield seed to other growers or users in future years
- Dispose of, as commercial grain, any seed covered under the agreement and not used for planting a subsequent crop
