EQUINOX EC

If you’ve been satisfied with your grass control in peas, flax, lentils and canola, it’s time to set your expectations higher.

  • EQUINOX® EC herbicide provides superior, post-emergent control of a broad spectrum of annual grasses.
  • Ideal for peas, flax, lentils, canola, chickpeas, dry beans, sunflowers and mustard.

How it works

  • The Group 1 active ingredient is absorbed through the leaves and quickly translocated throughout the plant.
  • Weeds generally stop growing within two days.
  • Weeds should be completely controlled between 7 and 21 days after treatment.
  • Quackgrass control is slower. EQUINOX EC is translocated to the rhizomes and kills actively growing rhizome buds and above-ground vegetation.
  • The surfactant MERGE® is required and is included in the EQUINOX package.

When to apply

Crop
Flax – Emergence to 35 cm

Volunteer wheat – 1- to 6-leaf stage, up to 2 tillers
Wild oats – 1- to 6-leaf stage, up to 2 tillers

How much to apply

  • One case of EQUINOX treats 40 or 60 acres.

Application tips

  1. Maximize performance by applying EQUINOX in warm weather to weeds that are actively growing.
  2. Thorough coverage of EQUINOX on the foliage is important for consistent grass control.
  3. Reducing the recommended rate will result in inconsistent weed control.
  4. EQUINOX is extremely rainfast. Only one hour is required following application.

Tank mixes

When a tank mix is used, consult the labels of the tank mix partners and observe the largest (most restrictive) buffer zone of the products involved in the tank mixture.
