How it works
- DYVEL is a Group 4 herbicide that provides consistent control by attacking weeds at their growing points.
- With DYVEL, you get more power at a better price delivering economical thistle control.
When to apply
| Crop and Weed Stage | Recommended Timing |
|---|
| Spring wheat | 2- to 5- leaf stage |
| Durum wheat | 2- to 5- leaf stage |
| Barley | 2- to 5- leaf |
| Oats | 2- to 5- leaf |
| Winter wheat | 15-25 cm (6-10 in), before the shot blade, spring application only |
| Weeds | 2-to 4- leaf unless otherwise indicated |
How much to apply
- DYVEL is available in cases of two, 10-litre jugs.
- One 10 L jug treats 20 acres (8 hectares).
- Apply at 0.5 L/ac (1.25 L/ha).
Water Volume
Ground application: 10 gal/ac (100 L/ha)
Aerial application: 2 gal/ac (20 L/ha) at 30 psi (200 kPa)
Mixing Instructions
Use a 50 mesh filter screen.
- Fill tank with one-half of the required amount of clean water and agitate. Agitation should be running during the entire mixing procedure.
- Add the DYVEL and agitate 2 to 3 minutes.
- If tank-mixing with Horizon or Puma Super, add the correct amount of tank-mix partner and continue to agitate.
- Add Score adjuvant, when tank mixing with Horizon.
- Add the rest of the water to the spray tank and maintain sufficient agitation during mixing and spraying to ensure a uniform spray mixture.

Application tips
- Use 10 gallons of water per acre. BASF does not have enough data to support a 5 gal/acre water rate.
- DYVEL is registered for aerial application in Western Canada only.
- Do not spray if winds exceed 15 kph or if the wind is blowing towards a sensitive crop nearby, a garden or a shelterbelt.
- Do not use nozzle pressures in excess of 30 psi.
- Allow for 30 days between application of DYVEL or DYVEL + Horizon and grazing or cutting of cereal crop for hay.
- DYVEL should be applied at least 4 hours before rainfall.
- Do not spray when the temperature is expected to exceed 30ºC.
