How it works
- Crops treated with CHARTER RTU exhibit more heads and thicker root system compared to untreated crops.
- Leads to denser, richer crop stands.
Protected Crops
- Wheat (including durum)
- Barley (including malting and hulless)
- Oats
Do not use treated seed for food, feed or oil processing.
How much to apply
- 1 case has 2 x 9.3 L of CHARTER RTU concentrate.
- 1 drum has 200 L of CHARTER RTU.
- Has one application rate: 300 mL/100 kg of seed.
CHARTER RTU treats the following amount of seed
| Container size | Barley* | Oats** | Wheat*** |
|---|
9.3 L jug 200 L drum | 142 bu 3,056 bu | 201 bu 4,314 bu | 114 bu 2,444 bu |
*Based on 48 lb/bu
**Based on 34 lb/bu
***Based on 60 lb/bu
How to apply
- CHARTER RTU is a new ready-to-use water-based formulation of triticonazole where no water, dye of polymer needs to be added.
- Can be applied by commercial seed treatment plants or with on-farm gravity-flow or mist-type treatment machines.
- Can be used in “On the Go” air seeder treatment systems.
Diseases controlled
- CHARTER RTU protects crops from key and common diseases.
- Specialist in smut control.
- Controls true loose smut barley.
| Crop | Diseases controlled | Diseases suppressed* |
|---|
| Wheat | Seed rot caused by Fusarium sp. | Fusarium crown and root rot |
| | Seedling blight caused by seed-borne Fusarium sp. | Cochliobolus (common) root rot |
| | Loose smut | Seedling blight caused by Cochliobolus sativus |
| | Common bunt | |
| Barley | Seed rot caused by Fusarium sp. | Fusarium crown and root rot |
| | Seedling blight caused by seed-borne Fusarium sp. | Cochliobolus (common) root rot |
| | True loose smut | Seedling blight caused by Cochliobolus sativus |
| | Covered smut | |
| | False loose smut | |
| Oats | Loose smut | Fusarium crown and root rot |
| | Covered smut | Cochliobolus (common) root rot |
| | Seed rot caused by Fusarium sp. | Seedling blight caused by Cochliobolus sativus |
| | Seedling blight caused by seed-borne Fusarium sp. | |
Disease control and suppression occurs when CHARTER RTU is applied at 300 mL/100 kg of seed.
* Suppression is defined as suboptimal control which is still of commercial benefit (PMRA Reg. Dir. 2003-04).
