How it works

  • CANTUS protects fruit and vegetable crops from disease by disrupting the fungal cells’ ability to generate energy.
  • CANTUS is locally systemic and translaminar within treated foliage. It will protect the entire treated area, even as it expands. CADENCE is rainfast in just one hour.
  • Even diseases which have developed resistance to other classes of fungicides can be controlled by CANTUS.

When to apply

Early blight: Begin applications of CANTUS prior to disease development and continue applications on 14 day intervals if conditions continue to be favorable for disease development.


Do not make more than 4 applications per season.

 

Late Blight: CANTUS does not control late blight and must be tank-mixed with either POLYRAM DF or Bravo 500, which are registered for control of late blight. If both early blight and late blight are present in the field at the same time, CANTUS may be tank-mixed with either POLYRAM DF or Bravo 500, at their respective labelled rates.  Begin applications prior to late blight development.

Grape

Powdery mildew: Begin applications as of bud break and continue on a 10-14 day interval.  


Use the shorter interval when disease pressure is high.

Stone Fruit Group

Begin applications at pink bud or prior to disease development and continue on a 7-14 day interval.


Use the shorter interval when disease pressure is high.

Berry Group:

Begin applications prior to disease development and continue on a 7-14 day interval.


Use the shorter interval when disease pressure is high.

Direct seeded lettuce: Make the first application immediately after thinning (within 2 days).


If conditions continue to favour disease development, make a second application 10 to 20 days after the first application.


On transplanted lettuce: Make the first application 7-10 days after transplanting.
If conditions continue to favour disease development, make a second application 10 to 20 days after the first application.

Fruiting Vegetable Group:

Early blight: Begin applications prior to disease development on 7-10 day intervals. Use the higher rate and shorter interval when disease pressure is high.
Botrytis gray mold: Begin applications prior to disease development followed by a second application after 7-10 days.
