How it works

• ACROBAT is powered by a dimethomorph, a spore-killing, systemic active ingredient.
• When combined with a registered early blight protectant like POLYRAM® in potatoes, ACROBAT provides two modes of action against late blight and early blight control. ACROBAT contains two highly effective fungicides that deliver a powerful combination of contact, penetrant and systemic action against blight. It protects your crop against all strains of both Early and Late blight in potatoes, even the Ridomil-resistant strains.
• A foliar application of ACROBAT moves up the treated plant stem, lining it with blight protection. Treated leaves are protected even as they grow.
• The anti-sporulant activity of ACROBAT fungicide stops, contains and kills Late blight spores, preventing the spread of blight between plants and neighboring fields.

When to apply

• ACROBAT may be applied up to three times per season as part of a preventative fungicide program.
• Can be applied up to 4 days before harvest in potatoes.
• For maximum blight protection ACROBAT should be applied whenever the risk of blight is high. For instance:
  • Just before row closure to ensure that systemic activity provides extra protection under the canopy;
  • When conditions are favorable for blight, such as cool wet weather, heavy dews and frequent irrigation;
  • End of season or after burndown to reduce stem lesions from developing when canopy begins to die back.

How much to apply

• For best results, use ACROBAT in a preventative program before symptoms appear in a field.
• Rate Spray schedule: 450 g/ha in a tank-mix with a protectant such as POLYRAM DF with a maximum of three applications per season 7-10- days under moderate infestation, 5-7 days under heavy infestation
• ACROBAT is registered for aerial application in the Prairie provinces.
