An insulation that does the environment good.

WALLTITE insulation
Saving energy is good for the environment. Plus, it’s good for the pocketbook. That means greater sustainability all around.
It’s part of the reason that BASF has worked hard to constantly improve and extend its line of spray foam insulations. And its efforts are paying off. Its WALLTITE® insulations have produced some impressive endorsements.
If you watch much television, you probably know home-renovation expert Mike Holmes and the high standards he sets. When it comes to insulation, he recommends WALTITE foam insulation.
He started using WALLTITE several years ago and hasn’t looked back. “It was very clear, after using WALLTITE a couple of times, that it was the best possible insulation on the market – no question,” Holmes says, noting that the product’s ability to reduce fuel consumption, coupled with its durability, make it a smart choice.
It isn’t just homeowners that are benefitting from WALLTITE. In Quebec, one school board decided to build an eco-friendly, high-efficiency school. The architects in this project combined state-of-the-art technologies with tried-and-tested products like WALLTITE to achieve an exceptionally efficient design.
The cost of the building, with its innovative design, wouldn’t fit into the school board’s original budget. But the board approved the plan, based on the expectation that energy-cost savings would payback the higher construction costs after four to seven years. In fact, the energy savings achieved payback in just three years. And even though the efficiency of the facility has covered the additional building costs, the fuel savings continue.
Of course, since the introduction of WALTITE, BASF has continued to innovate. Now, in addition to saving energy, recently introduced WALTITE ECO™ insulation boasts zero ozone-depleting blowing agents (used in the foam-application process) and contains 5% recycled and renewable materials.
So now one of the construction industry’s best ways to reduce energy consumption can also lay claim to being one of the friendliest in both manufacturing and application. It’s one more way that BASF serves to sustain our shared environment.
